The legacy of our founder, Elisabetta Calabria, continues to live on through beautiful expressive wines, that are proud, authentic and generous, in honour of Elisabetta’s nature.

The wine is hand selected from a single vineyard in the highly acclaimed Barossa Valley region in South Australia, from the Calabria family 'Sophie' vineyard.

A voluptuous Durif with aromas of black fruit remoulade with hints of coffee grounds and liquorice complemented with bitter chocolate and a long lasting persistent finish.
Crafted under the guiding hand of the Calabria winemaking team, the fruit is hand picked and sorted to ensure perfect fruit reaches the fermenter. The single vineyard Durif parcel was fermented on skins for 10 days in our 60 year old bespoke concrete vats before being gently pressed, and later completing malo lactic fermentation in barrel. Once completed the barrels were racked and returned to remove the lees, then matured in barrel for 12 months in 100% American oak (19% brand new).
Pair well with slow-roasted brisket with aromatic spice rub, this wine will also work well with Venison Bourguignon.
