Queens of Prohibition Prosecco ICE
From the great era of the Roaring Twenties, Prohibition gave rise to the infamous ‘Queens of Prohibition’. During this dry period myths were born and the stories of bootleggers; such as Maggie Bailey became legends and set the path for wine distribution around the world.
Vibrant aromas of green apple, citrus and passionfruit are lifted by delicate hints of lemongrass and elderflower. The palate shows a touch of subtle sweetness, beautifully balanced by crisp acidity and lively spritz, carrying flavours of green apple, lemon and lime through to a refreshing finish.
The fruit was harvested in the cool of the night, crushed and pressed. The juice was then fermented at cool and steady temperatures. Light stirring on lees adds complexity and weight to the palate. Fining and filtration early on, maintains the freshness and the youthful characteristics of this delightful Prosecco.
